I will never forget reading a Time magazine article several years ago 7 Day Prayer Miracle Review that discussed what makes people happy. Surprisingly to me, work never made the list of things that made people happy. I don't think that's because work isn't a great way to find fulfillment, after all, we all spend 30-40% of our time in the workplace... some of us much more! This is why I adhere to the belief to "do what you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life". More specifically, you won't have true confidence, be having much fun, or achieving greater fulfillment until you can express yourself fully. And the more clearly you express yourself, the more successful you will become.
This is why most people don't find happiness at work. Statistics reveal that 86% of people hate or dislike their jobs. My assertion is that this is because we spend most of our time focusing on the expectations of our managers, our peers, and others in general as opposed to focusing on what matters most to us as individuals first.
So rarely, is there a focus on the core of the issue. When we are stuck in the rules of the game that others create for us, we spend time in worry, doubt and fear about what others will do and say, so that our focus is on more of the very thing that we don't want; consistent with the law of attraction, when we focus our dominate thoughts on what we don't want, we get more of the same. So the answer to lack of confidence and fulfillment in your career... is to develop your personal brand: know who you are and what you want. This is the cure to what ails you as the more you know who you are and what you want, the more positive you will be for greater aliveness. So below are the steps that you can take:
